THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

Athaza.

A shorter name for a simple idea: the people and little moments in our lives are worth remembering.

WHERE IT BEGAN
Athazagora
ath-uh-zuh-gohr-uh
“The fear of forgetting.”

Our original name was an invented expression for a feeling many of us recognize: wishing we could hold on to every meaningful detail, conversation, and memory.

We shortened it to Athaza, easier to say, quicker to remember, and still carrying the same thought behind it.

Why make a memory app about people?

It's easy to save an appointment but harder to remember a friend's favorite film, the place you last visited together, or the story they told you last month. Athaza gives those small things a home.

◎

Personal, not performative.

This isn't a feed, a follower count, or a place for other people to browse your notes. It's designed as a personal companion for details, reminders, interests, and moments that matter to you.

A LITTLE THOUGHT GOES A LONG WAY

Remember the people.
Remember what matters.

Athaza helps you keep your connections in mind, one small detail at a time.

Privacy and peace of mind

A place to remember people, not a place to post about them.

Athaza is not a social network. Each person you add is a personal record inside your own app, not a social profile that they can sign into or follow. Your saved likes, notes, moments, and reminders are not posted to a public feed, and adding a person does not notify them.

Can someone see what I wrote about them? Not through an Athaza account or public profile. What you choose to show from your own screen or share through an export remains up to you.
How do shared interests work? They compare the interests you've saved in your own Me and People records. They don't search other users' profiles or tell anyone they've been matched.
Does the app share my notes automatically? Its people and collections features are designed for personal reference, not broadcasting. Be mindful of any backups or files you choose to export or share.

You're remembering the people in your life for yourself, so you can be more thoughtful, follow up on conversations, and hold on to meaningful moments.
